It's National Chia Day! (Recipe)

Yes it's actually a thing and we are celebrating!  Why?  Because we love chia!
Chia may be small but its a powerhouse full of nutrients and is well known for providing lasting energy, stabilizing blood sugar, suppressing appetite and improving brain function.  
Just a one ounce serving contains:
  • 18% RDA of Calcium
  • 30% RDA of Manganese
  • 30% RDA Magnesium
  • 27% RDA of Phosphorus
PLUS its loaded with Anti-oxidants, Fiber, Protein, Omega 3's Iron, Zinc, Vitamin B, B3, B2, Potassium.  What's not to love right?

To celebrate this tiny seed with HUGE benefits, we would like to share a recipe below:

Berry Crunch Smoothie Bowl:

Smoothie:
1/2 Banana (frozen)
1 Cup Mixed Berries - Raspberries, Blue Berries, Strawberries
1 small handful of Spinach
1/2 Cup of Coconut Milk
1/4 Organic / Gluten Free Oats
1 Tbsp Agave Syrup (optional - I personally prefer not to sweeten it)
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds

Topping:
Use a handful of Fresh Raspberries, Blackberries and Goji Berries
Small handful of your choice of nuts and seeds - I love almonds or walnuts, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and sun flower seeds. 

Instructions:
Use a blender to mix all smoothie ingredients to the desired consistency.  Add more Coconut water or almond milk or plain water if you find it too think still. 
Once mixed, add your toppings and eat immediately.
